About Me: Maddie Marquardt

This web page was produced as an assignment for an undergraduate course at Davidson College.

Hello! My name is Maddie Marquardt. I am originally from Iowa City and am currently a senior Biology major at Davidson College. Last semester, I studied marine biology in Turks and Caicos and solidified how much I love the ocean and animal behavior. Next year, I hope to pursue a graduate degree in marine biology, with a goal of studying marine mammal behavior in the future. I love being outside and enjoy hiking and swimming in my free time. My favorite moment I can remember was during a SCUBA dive last semester, watching a Hawksbill sea turtle eating a sponge 100 feet below the surface. I hope I have many more moments in the deep blue in my future!
