My name is Sheridan Page, and I am a senior biology major at Davidson College. My interests include immunology and structural biology. As a member of the Sarafova lab, I have been conducting research on T cell development. We have identified a conserved region in the first intron of the Cd4 gene, which we think acts as an enhancer only at the intermediate stage of T cell development. Using coreceptor re-expression assays, I have supported our hypothesis by showing that this element affects CD4 expression kinetics only at the intermediate stage.
Feel free to reach out by email (shpage@davidson.edu) if you have any questions regarding my posts or research.
